Director of Finance

Our client has operated in the lower mainland for several decades and has a solid reputation in their niche market in which they operate. An exciting position has arisen for a motivated Director of Finance to report directly to the Owner. The successful candidate will manage, lead and mentor 3 people and be the chief financial resource for the company and function as an integral part of the management team. Candidates should be a designated CPA and will oversee/manage all aspects of the accounting /finance including A/R, A/P, and General Ledger, Payroll (salary and commission), cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition. You will develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and develop, implement and maintain internal financial and accounting policies and procedures. You will manage and direct the month-end and year-end close processes. You will prepare all supporting information for the annual audit with the external auditors and ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. You will also review and strengthen internal controls. This position requires you to be somewhat hands-on but also be a person that can see the “big picture”. Candidates should have proven experience in a senior financial role and experience supervising an accounting team.
