Director of Finance

Our client is a growing, stable and well established real estate firm with exciting investments in both Canada and the US. Their head office is located in downtown Vancouver where the finance department and senior management team are based. Due to an internal promotion, a senior position has arisen for a designated CPA to function in a Director of Finance position. This person will be required to supervise two staff. The duties of this role will focus on; preparing monthly financial statements, internal management reports and external reporting packages, analyzing monthly actual results to budget and previous month’s results, preparing annual operating and capital expenditure budgets, monitoring financial systems and internal controls, providing recommendations for improvements to existing processes to ensure best practices and managing day to day cash flow. Other duties will include overseeing the day to day functions of the accounting department, ensuring all necessary procedures are in place to maintain efficiency within the department, budget and other special projects. The successful candidate should have demonstrated previous experience in a senior finance role and have strong analytical skills. You will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
