Director of Finance

Our client is a medium sized and expanding company located in the lower mainland.  The company is profitable, has been in business for several decades and has a reputation that is second to none. An excellent position exists for a motivated CPA to report directly to the owner and act as an integral part of their management team as their Director of Finance. This position, initially, will be somewhat hands-on and will require that you direct your attention to enhancing their systems and procedures. As you get oriented, you will act as their key financial resource and oversee all financial/accounting matters in their expanding business. Duties will include financial statement and report preparation, liaison with the company’s auditors and bankers, cash flow preparation, budgeting, assisting with a systems conversion at some point, supervising one to two staff and ensuring that the various reconciliations, accruals, regulatory reporting etc are done on a timely and accurate basis. This could be best described as an excellent opportunity to “make your mark”. Our client offers a generous base salary and bonus.
