Financial Analyst

Our client is a public company  with its corporate head office located in downtown Vancouver. This organization owns operating units in both Canada and the US, which have been  operating successfully for a number of years. An excellent opportunity exists for a CPA to assume this newly created role due to anticipated growth. The Financial Analyst will report to the Manager of Financial Reporting, who in turn, reports directly to the CFO. The key duties will include; assist in the preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements and assist with presentations of complex accounting issues to the audit committee. Other duties will include; researching training and implementation of new GAAP requirements, assist in development and maintenance of the annual budget planning tools, review submission from operating subs to ensure compliance with established budgeting and planning tools. You will also prepare monthly consolidated variance analysis for inclusion in monthly report to senior management and debt holders, participate in business development activities, including due diligence and the integration of new operations. The successful candidate will have strong technical abilities and communication skills and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
