VP Finance

Our client is a well established organization with a reputation for outstanding customer service and has in business over the last 30 plus years. They are the largest company in their industry in BC and have experienced impressive growth while maintaining stability and profitability.  Due to the retirement of their key financial person, an excellent opportunity is available for a designated CPA to function as VP Finance and oversee the entire accounting group.   This position reports directly to the president and will be an integral part of the management team.  It should be noted that there will be involvement with operations personnel in assisting on financial issues so good interpersonal skills are very much required. Your will supervise your staff and be very involved in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring month-end closing procedures are being followed, preparing annual budgets, cashflow management, and banking liaison.  You will also be very involved in assisting with HR and recruiting issues that arise. The successful candidate will need to enjoy working in a fast paced environment that supports team work and requires you to be very flexible.  Our client offers a competitive remuneration and benefits package.
