Controller

Our client is a medium sized company that has operated in the lower mainland for many years. They are in a niche market that has made them one of the leading and foremost experts in Western Canada in their field. Due to the pending retirement of their current Controller, a motivated person is required to join the company and function as Controller. You will be provided with excellent cross over training from the incumbent and this person is expected to be around for several months. You will supervise 2 accounting staff and report directly to the Owner. You will be responsible for accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, budgets and analysis. You will manage the company’s cash flow and monitor inventory, fixed assets, long term debt and supervise A/R and A/P. You will assist with forecasts and develop policies and procedures for account collections and extension of credit to customers.
